Roof bar fittings

We're (hopefully) taking delivery of a new Black Edition in mid-August.

We've got a weekend away planned for the end of August that we'll need to take our pushbikes for, so I want to get roof bars ordered now so I know we've got them.

I was planning on getting another set of Yakima Whispbars, but I'm not sure whether the RAV4 Black Edition has fixing points or a plain roof, and I can't see it specified in the manual (or maybe I'm looking at the wrong one).

Anybody know for sure?

It's got roof rails ...

Toyota would look to sell you these cross bars but I'm sure that you could find many alternatives ...

I was pretty sure it was roof rails, but the vehicle selectors always gave me a choice of that or a plain roof, so I thought I should make sure.

Most likely I'll go for Yakima Whispbars again, as we've got them on our current car and been very happy with them. In black rather than silver, of course, to match everything else on the Black Edition.

To clarify - since I'd never looked before today - it has what Thule call 'flush rails' that have specific mounting points as shown below:

Toyota roofbars are usually made by Thule
Plenty of choice here and you can find 5% discount on google.

I've just bought a set of roof bars for my 2020 RAV4. It has fix points.
The trouble with the way Toyota did the roof stands means that aftermarket feet pack are slightly wider than the rails when fitted.

I did have the roof rails on the car on Saturday for an initial fit but forgot to take a photo bfore i rmoved them. This is the ones I've gone for. Roof bars
