Aygo indicator lights don't work

I just bought a 2011 Aygo automatic and the indicator lights don't work - is there a trick or did the garage not check the car properly.

Also the lights in the round circle behind the wheel don't come on when I drive.

Sounds like it could be a fuse or relay problem - take it back to the garage.

Do the hazard lights work ? If so, The car may have been sitting unused for some time, try moving the stalk up and down 10-20 times (indicate left and right)

This will check if it's the (common) corroded contacts on the indicator stalk, but not the speedo illumination? That's what made me think fuse or relay - and as Rivka has only just bought the Aygo the garage she bought it from is legally required to fix it as it's not fit for sale without working indicators.

Its just a simple test, if the hazards work - its more than likely a stalk problem as it's a common issue, speedo illumination could be a dome/tail fuse iirc lives in the fuse box behind the wheel (right-hand side) 4th fuse up (7.5 Amp) if it's blown you will not have any side lights or numberplate lights
