  • I normally change pads myself but am struggling to find info on releasing the electronic parking brake on front wheels.  I have a 2011 Auris Hybrid.  Any advice welcomed.

Hi, there is no electronic parking brake on your car. Change of brake pads is as on standard car with some small difference., depressurisation of the brake system and disconnecting the 12v Battery. Here is a video that might be helpful.

He has many more other videos that I can recommended to you, they are informative.

Thanks, how come front wheels are locked when removing front wheel?  I assumed that was the P that lights up when turning car off

Yes, P is parking lock from the transmission. You have a standard handbrake on the rear wheels only. 👍
