P1346 engine code

Hi everyone,

I've had fault code P1346 on my 2004 Toyota Yaris for a while now and it drives o.k. Trouble is it's an m.o.t failure with that engine management light on. Any ideas on how to fix the fault. Crank and Cam sensors have already  been replaced.  Thanks for your help.

1.0 or 1.3 ? it's usually a clogged or faulty VVTi solenoid due to the lack of oil changes

rear left of the engine on the timing cover - 1 bolt and 1 plug

 

also check the cam sensor is tight

Thanks very much. When I get the chance I will do this. I have also heard that it can be a stretched timing chain, but it doesn't seem noisy. Thanks again.

Its a 1.3.  Is it fairly simple to do the solenoid or is it a job for a skilled mechanic?

Hey guys!
I have same problem, car work normaly but have check engine light.

One service said its chain, one said first O2 sensor on exhoust (first one, before cat)..
