I have a 2012 automatic Avensis, on 70k mileage, full service by Toyota main dealerships and I’ve been told that the handbrake actuator is faulty. My extended warranty ran out and they never informed me (but my fault for not setting a reminder!) I have heard that there were common faults with this in previous models. Would I stand a chance of getting this repaired for free?

When did your extended warranty expire? Are you in the UK?
