Rear brakes

I'm looking to upgrade the rear brakes from drum to disc on my aygo and I cannot find any conversion kits anywhere. Would anyone have any ideas where I can look.  My ultimate goal is to make it a sleeper and have the most fun driving it around.

You will need the backing plates, h/brake cables, calipers, caliper brackets, pads and disc's

have a look on megazip.com at the parts diagrams

I can look up diagrams if required

edit it has been done iirc it was with yaris/IQ parts

Hi,

Sorry to necro this.

I'm looking at doing the same thing on my gen I Citroen C1, but couldn't really figure it out based on diagrams on megazip.

@Orange Aygo Mark Did you figure this out in the end? I would really appreciate some help.

The rear hub is the same, IIRC the disc mounts to the hub instead of the drum

i can find a diagram if needed from the yaris or iq

Sorry for the delay, life got in the way

looking back over the info, you will need to make some caliper mounting brackets

Thank you very much!

It sounds like I should probably get someone to make me those caliper brackets. It looks like they're an extension of the trailing arm on the Yaris, so I'm not sure how I'd attach brackets separately to my car. Either way, I'm definitely not qualified to play around with brake components.

I wonder if the trailing arms are compatible. Mine are a bit flaky after 14 years in the UK and it might be easier to just get a set of Yaris ones to get the caliper mounting sorted. I'll look into that.
