Hi

I have a 2014 Gen 3 Toyota Prius (import) and I'm unsure of what relatively cheap (but good) aftermarket 12V batteries fit this?

It was moaning at me about the aux Battery being low prior to dying on me

It's a ZVW30 engine

Happy to tell someone my VIn over messages

They are an AGM type and not cheap - oem is Yuasa

Last time i checked, most of these battery's are on back order - the ones that are about command a premium £150-220 delivered

Check to see what you have in the boot it should be...................

28800-21171 or 28800-YZZPD  (Yuasa S46B32R) it should be a right hand Negative

Those prices on eBay at £150 are good. I paid £135 three years ago. Always worth giving your Toyota dealer a ring, they were the same price as I paid elsewhere 3 years ago.  It is an AGM Battery which is a lot more then a "wet" Battery. When the Battery is in the load area of the car for safety reasons it need to be an AGM battery. If in a collision a wet battery could burst and spill acid over occupants and car interior.

So, it died on me and I had noravirus at the time, so I thought let's get it out of the way, and make it contactless. Maybe not in the best state of mind to do thing then but whatever. The doctor said just in case it is Covid, I should get a PCR test however I reckon it's likely noravirus

I ended up calling a mobile mechanic, and I gave him the part number as well as the model part and number

He found a supplier and I was charged an expensive price of £230 with the fitting 😞 But it's lithium at least. It's made by a company called "Platinum" I stayed the hell away from him when he fitted it, because well, I already live in a major city
