Hi All,

I decided to try to extend the life of my ol' 1AD estate hoping to get to 300k. As you will see from the attached pic of the EGR which has done 242k miles along with the rest of the car, the procedure worked very well. Unfortunately the plastic wheel on the drive belt tensioner decided to say bye bye almost at the end and tore the belt to pieces. So I have a replacement job coming up. Nice and lucky it happened outside the house and not on the motorway though!
I watched the Terraclean engineer for quite a while, and it's not as simple as you might think, he had all sorts of gadgets for different engines, in my case a home made device to manually operate the EGR valve. Interesting stuff.
