Speedometer stopped working, incorrect slow reading?

On my 2002T-Sport the Speedo has started to play up.

About a month ago I started driving and noticed my speedo was not reading any speed at all. I stopped and restarted the vehicle and all was well.

Yesterday my speedo did the same and I once again stopped but when I got going again the Speedo appears to be very behind, I would guess a reading of 10mph below my real speed so I've put my torque app on to log what I'm doing.

My first stop is the VSS and I think this is located on the transmission somewhere?

Cannot find much for this problem on the 2ZZ-GE so any input is valued thank you.
