Coupling/Clutch pedal

Hi all,

I am new on this forum and I have a question allready.

Is it possible to adjust the tension of the pedal from the Coupling/Clutch?

So that it operates lighter when you kick it in.

It's a 1.8 Avensis from 2005...

Thanks in advance!

I would say no. The pedal pressure is mainly dictated by the pressure plate. I have the later Valvematic and did have a '98 leanburn. In both cases the clutch pedal became lighter after full clutch replacement. In fact my current Valvematic still has a light clutch pedal, 4 years later.
Don't attempt to adjust the pedal without know the details!

As above, bleeding the clutch may also improve pedal feel if it hasn't been done, brake fluid has 3-5 year life span, tho a lot of cars never have it changed
