P0011 Error

Hi, got a P0011 Error yesterday on my 2009 plate 1.0 petrol and after a Google some say it could be just needing an oil change or it could be the oil control  solenoid.

Is there anything else it could be before I go poking around?

There was no loss of power, engine still started as always and ran fine.

not 100% sure what year it was but they did stop using the filters in the vvti oil passage

A lack of oil changes kills the solenoid, do not buy the really cheap solenoids they do not last
