Parking Assist Sensors

My parking assist sensors have failed - dashboard telling me to clean sensors, that didn't work. Taken to Toyota Garage who tell me the the controller needs to be changed as faulty - They tell me this is NOT under warranty - has any one else had this problem. The car is less than 2 years old and only has 10000 miles on the clock.

Hi Bob, welcome to TOC.

Tbh I would try another dealer.  I would have expected that to be covered by warranty but user Devon Aygo may be able to advise (he works for a dealer involving warranty iirc). If necessary you could get Toyota GB's CS involved.

I would be shocked If a Toyota that recent with a fault would not be fixed FOC by a main Toyota dealer.

If you get no joy, you can go to the small claims court - car not fit for purpose, you would need to take the retailer to court - ie the dealer you bought the car from.
