The front end will only be for the Adventure grade, all others keep the 'normal' face.

Nice to finally get a powered passenger seat and USB C ports!

Same announcement from Toyota themselves: https://mag.toyota.co.uk/toyota-rav4-adventure-adds-rugged-styling-for-2022-model/

It looks to me as though it is a simple addition to the 2022 model range - so we might expect to see the Adventure as an addition to the Excel and Dynamic each being a Design with a different set of extras.

There appear to be some improvements to kit across the range ...

I'm not necessarily a fan of interior leds, I find them too cold and harsh.

The big news for the 2022 RAV is the introduction of illuminated window switches. FINALLY!! Lets hope they do the same for the switches in the headlining

Yes that would be very useful.   I have found the RAV an interesting mix of ancient and modern.

Interestingly the US version of the PHEV does not have the illuminated window switches but the UK model does. Once again I find that selling cars without what most would consider an important feature somewhat strange?

Not a facelift - an additional model in a similar vein to the Yaris Cross Adventure and Corolla Cross Adventure.

How it works:  The importer (Toyota UK/US/etc) is given a priced shopping list of features by the parent company.  The sales team "divines" the price points for the various models they wish to offer and then the top brass use their "expertise" to select which features will best work in their market.  Hence the variation.  It's all opinion.

@IanML, “Devines” is the right word and in many cases seems to have very little to do with the buying public or the target purchaser. I’m amazed at how often simple relatively low cost items are miss spec’d of left off the the build schedule. The reality as I understand the situation is that a great deal of money is spent establishing what the UK buyer would want it seems to have more to do with Mystic Meg than reality. Just my two penny worth, sorry guys and girls rant over…….

I sometimes actually wonder if the decision makers at Toyota UK ever travel in cars made by competitors, or for that mater in cars at all!
