Normally it shouldn't ever need to be replaced, there is no regular interval for replacement. It's only if there is a particular fault, eg it becomes noisy that it would need replacing.

It's a good idea to check that the chain tensioner is not blocked or damaged.

A timing chain is often too slack after 400tkm

Apparently, those on the Honda accord can loosen a tad over time as well.
