Has anyone managed to get android auto to work on a 2014 auris touch2 with go head unit.

That vintage head unit isn't compatible with Android Auto/Apple Carplay.

Is there an attachment to get it to work, or can you fit a newer model head unit in it's place

No attachment.

Android Auto compatible units would be from the current Corolla/Rav4/later C-HR, etc. To buy new would be expensive. May be able to find one from a breaker or similar, eBay, etc.

May be better to source a decent third party head unit.
