Anyone had this issue before. Car starts and drives then you park it and next time you want to drive it it won't start at all just cranks and cranks. Fuel pump changed still won't start

Have you scanned for codes ?? Do you have spark ? If you have no spark on any of the plugs check the cam and crank sensors

As Flash has mentioned, check for a spark and for fuel at the rail.  Look at the return pipe.  After a failed cranking remove a plug and see if it smells of fuel and look at the colour.

Usually a failed crank sensor will shut down both fuel and injectors.  If you have an oscilloscope you can check the strength of the magnet of the crank sensor

I have heard of that with earlier diesels running the 1CD engine (Avensis, Corolla, Verso) - Was due to a fault in the starter motor which only manifested when the engine was hot; Letting it cool down allowed it to start again. Lots of people assumed it was the Battery and changed it, but soon found the problem still happened. Fix was a revised starter motor, although some people just refurbished the starter by changing the brushes and stuff.

Never heard of it with any Yaris engine tho'.

OP's post - Intermittent crank no start

Where to start - Codes, fuel, air, spark, no comms from the ecu, fuses, power and ground
