Customize Start Up Image ?

In my daughter's Aygo, it has the upgraded 3 button AA and Carplay Headunit.

I'm trying to change the background wallpaper using  photo from a memory stick.  It's a JPEG and TIF file, but the unit is not recognising it.

Does anyone know what format a photo needs to be to do this....I thought the most obvious and common one is a JPEG !!!

The photos are on the memory stick, I've tested it on various other electronic devices, including my own Kenwood head unit in my RAV4.

Thanks

I've customised the startup image in my 2020 Aygo, it's very particular about the image name and size.

You can have 3 startup images, they need to be named Image1.jpg, Image2.jpg and Image3.jpg

The resolution must be 1824 by 1080.

Not sure if the background can be changed on the triple play like other pioneer units if you can put the images on blank/formatted USB stick select USB and it should let you browse the pics

I've tried doing all this (I think).  Just one usb stick with one photo, so to keep it simple !!!😂

Once I press Yes to the "Images will be copied from USB flash drive. Overwrite the current images?"

It then states "Copying images. Do not turn the vehicle off or remove the USB flash drive"

And then it states the message in the photo attached.

This "should" be a simple process for a three year old !!! Good old Toyota !!

Have you renamed the file “Startupimage” (with a capital S)

Has the image been edited ?

Ok, it's saved in a folder named Startupimage and the photo is named images.jpeg

And still not working.  It's a two person job here (including my wife) !!!

It may be the image resolution, as I don't know how to change it to 1824x1080

Petrol Dave said earlier the file had to be called image1.mpg (you said you named it image.jpg) and Flash22 says Startupimage.jpg

Try everything, then when you still stuck, go and find that 3 year old that you said could do it.  😄

You can see from my photo, I did name the photo image1.jpeg

Both methods mention are on the usb stick, as I thought one would work....I'm off to look for that 3 year old !!!!

Super Duper, it works, thanks for giving me your time on this.

It will be a nice surprise for my daughter, next time she uses her car.

Cheers
