Squeaking brakes

Hello guys,

I have a 1998 toyota avensis and the brakes seem to be squeaking sometimes at low speed, almost like the sound brake pads make when theyre worn and squealing. However it just got MOT'd yesterday and there was nothing about the brakes on there so I'm just wondering what it might be? It is an old car with 170k on the clock so I dont know if something is just a bit worn out

Any ideas?

Maybe just a change of pads will do the trick...or try a few emergency stops...that often has a positive effect.
