Hi,

I'm new to having a yaris mk 1.

At night, the control switches for the wing mirrors are hard to see. I have popped out the switch and cannot see where a bulb might go.

Is the switch illuminated ?

In a word no, but there is a mod for the mk1 mirror controls iirc it uses the same part as the E110 corolla

sounds interesting.  Is it a direct swop?

I have just driven back from the garage in my mk 1 t sport , and the headlamp adjuster wheel was illuminated ,and the mirror switches were not.

Of course ,it could be that it all of that panel was illuminated originally , and a bulb or diode has gone.

And it could be the difference in specs between trim levels.

Sorry if no help, but sounds like flash 22 can sort a solution either way 😄

And that would be my thread on the Mk3 Yaris mirror switch swap

I see a mod done on the MK1 IIRC it was a Japanese site

Oh ok. Was it written in Japanese( which doesn't really matter as long as pics are there)?

Any one interested in this mod, cost - if you have the OEM switch to rob the plug off i cant see it being more than £20 or so in parts

I am.

Just ordered a spare Corolla switch that I'll be using if it works with the Yaris connector
