Yaris mk1, electric mirror light ?

Hi,

I'm new to having a mk1 yaris in the uk. 

The switch that adjusts the electric wing mirrors is not illuminated and hard to find in the dark. Does it have a bulb inside that need changing ?

Thinking back to when I had a Mk1, it was the CDX top of the range, and that didnt have an illuminated switch for the mirrors. My Mk2 that I have now doesnt have an illuminated mirror switch either, so I think you would be out of luck there. The headlight leveling wheel has illumination in it, but not the control for the mirrors.

Just confirming the above; Mk1 had a lot of unlit ancillary controls compared to newer cars...

At least it has a light for the rear passengers tho' - Guess what I just noticed my Mk4 doesn't have??

I found a mod some time ago but can't find it again, it seems fairly straight forward, I have a MK1 switch sitting on my desk ready to look at

My 2015 auris icon + mirror switch was not illuminated either as flash 22 said there was  Mod for it I looked for it and couldn’t find it either.

Parts are used across the Toyota and Lexus models and I found a few used on Subaru

i will post some pic's once i  pull the switch apart
