humidity / moist inside the car

The Aygo is the first car in a long time for me that gets the windshield frozen inside and outside.
Is this a typical thing due to the trunk design maybe not closing off 100 percent ? Or would a good degreasing job do the trick ?

Giving the windows inside a thorough clean, does help with the condensation/icing problem. But I've found it's a car that has condensation issues more than any car I've ever owned before.

To demist as quickly as possible, I close my front two circular vents completely, move the air flow selector to windscreen only and have fan on max with A/C on.

Thanks... I was under the same impressions and was looking for some confirmation.

yes, I had this problem this morning. Best thing to do is prevent it and use pre-icer or a blanket to cover the windscreen overnight. Or if you're like me this morning and didn't do either of those things, curse at the windscreen instead whilst scraping it.

I posted warm water over it... Two times one liter, around 25 - 30 degrees in temperature. The outside ice was gone.

The inside melted ..

Then dried the inside of the windscreen with a towel. Cleaned and degreased it with a blue product containing alcohol.

Then drove on and cursed on it.

Will see what happens next time.

One neighbour adviced me to put a small cotton bag filled with rice in the car.

Bring it inside the house and dry it out on the heater every few days.

Could try that too 🙂

Just don't have a cotton bag yet.

We've used a silica gel bag a few years ago on another car with good effect - eg:

Amazon.co.uk: car humidifier bag

Using the air con with the heater in winter dehumidifies the air and helps prevent condensation inside - see below. We just leave our air con on all the time.

I put a bag like you describe near the vent on top of the dashboard.
Works fine ...  Less moist inside the car and on the window now.
I cleaned the window extra myself too and that also plays a role in solving it.

Zero issues whatsoever on the inside & both front windows bottom door seals clear outer condensation on my non-garaged Aygo.

The wiper, though can squeak.!!!!!!

Very good wipers.

I did four years on an other car with them and they are still good.
