After I replaced my verso-s car Battery, both my key fobs would not work. I replaced the key fob batteries but still not working. I can open the car doors using the key and the internal buttons work ok. Any idea how to get the remote fob working again?

Have you tried it again with the old Battery?

Is the new Battery from a good source and have you tested it?

Are you sure it is fitted correctly?

Hi Stivino, Yes I have put the old Battery back, still the same problem and the new Battery is the best I could buy. It is fitted correctly, the car runs fine.

Hi. Yes the batteries in both key fobs are new. Neither of them work before or after changing.

Did you come to the conclusion of what has happened in the end, got his rectified?

Out of curiosity what Battery and model did you changed to?

Did you had the Panasonic white Battery previously?

I presume the keys work before changing the batterys

If you dont have a working remote key it need reprograming at the Toyota garage.

You may also need proof of ownership ie log book.

You have to be quick when swapping batterys in key fobs just to prevent loss of data.

Found to be my own stupid fault. The new batteries had a “child protection sticker” on the positive side. When removed all was well again. Good warning for others I suppose.

An easy mistake to make, you are far from the first to do this.

Maybe worth wiping with a dry tissue when fitting,as with replacing bulbs, to remove finger grease.

Unless of course so well organised as to have latex gloves to hand, which I never am.
