Paddle shifters and sport mode.

Scenario- You are driving in Eco mode and come across a slowish vehicle like a caravan. Not knowing the road and not wanting to switch to sport mode and be stuck in it for miles until a safe overtake can be seen. Is there a quick way to get to sport without having to reach down and flick the switch twice? Is the S mode on the gear stick worth using in conjunction with the shifters or does it put the car into a sport mode and give a little extra without using the paddles?

I didn’t think sport mode made any difference to speed, I always thought it just made the pedal more sensitive and stiffened the steering wheel.

I drive in Eco mode all the time; When I want to overtake I just push the pedal down more!

The modes just change the pedal response (Sharper in sport, more lackadaisical in Eco), but in all three modes if you floor the accelerator it still gives Maximum Beans!
