Mods - heating - what do we know?

Hi we have a proace verso vip (2018). Finding the heating isn’t great and takes ages to heat up. Is that normal? Fancy using it as a day van so some aux heating would be useful. Has anyone either modified the water heater (I think webasto - anyone got details of which?) or fitted a hot air heater a-la vw camper? cheers
