Petrol 2.4 battery specification

Hello fellow forum members, I need to replace my car Battery and the one I'm replacing isn't the original. There seems to be lots of conflicting information about the actual specification of a Battery. Does anyone know the official specification. Thank you

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

The original is only that once. As soon as it is replaced, it is no longer the original.

If you mean, the Battery is an aftermarket rather than one supplied by the manufacturer, that's fine. Just ensure you get one with the correct amperage (same as original) and, a personal choice, but I always opt for the cheapest Battery with the longest warranty I can get.

I bought a Battery from Tayna a couple of years ago for my 3 litre V6...very reasonable price and a quick hassle free delivery.

As Paul says, just make sure the amps are right and that it physically fits.!!!

Thank you everyone, not even sure how to reply individually. I believe the car has an aftermarket Battery that quotes 65ah, historical data states 68ah. I've learnt it is a 005L. I hope nothing goes wrong with the car!

The 005L is the Battery I use for my Estima...should be fine.

Good shout Neil. I forgot to mention about the Battery actually fitting!
