Aygo reset of key fob.

Hi folks, new to forum could I ask: How I reset my key fob after changing the 2016 3V Battery.

Have watched and tried uTube clips to no avail.

It should just work, was it working before the Battery went flat ? i take you just have 1 fob and one standard key

is it a good quality Battery you used ? Was it in date ? Did you peel the film off the bottom of the cell ?

Edit.

Instructions:

Driver's door open, all other doors closed and locked, driver's door glass open, ignition switched OFF.
Switch ignition ON and OFF.
Within 40 seconds:
Close and open driver's door twice.
Switch ignition ON and OFF.
Within 40 seconds:
Close and open driver's door twice.
Close driver's door.
Manually lock driver's door.
Switch ignition ON and OFF once to program a new key code whilst retaining the original codes or twice to program a new key code whilst erasing the original codes.
Manually unlock driver's door.
System should now lock and unlock vehicle, once or twice depending which mode has been selected.
Within 40 seconds:
Simultaneously press and hold lock and unlock buttons for 1 - 1,5 seconds 
Within 3 seconds:
Press and hold lock button or unlock button for 2 seconds
System should now lock and unlock vehicle once.
If system locks and unlocks vehicle twice, programming procedure has not been completed. Repeat button procedure.
Repeat button procedure to program remaining keys.
To exit programming mode: Open driver's door.
