Mk1 pollen filter direction?

Hi all, changed the pollen/cabin filter today, wow that was easier than on most cars!  It certainly needed doing as you can see.  Only thing was the original Toyota filter, and the front lid to the housing have an 'up' arrow, the ADL/blueprint one has an air flow direction instead.  I used my noodle and could see that air flow is obviously the opposite of 'up', outside air is on the top side and drawn through the filter (leaves are a give away).  Any signs of dissent?

Side repeaters fell apart when I tried to remove them so have ordered some LED jobbies from the chinaman.  Some things on the car do not exactly live up to Toyota over-engineering standards.

Cheers,

Jon

As you show the position this is the correct one. Perhaps the difference on arrows is that Toyota filter shows the upper side of the filter and blueprints shows the air flow. 👍 I do change these 4 times a year, with exact same brand👌

The edge of the "concertina" is at the extremities. If it were the other way up a fold would be there. That's how I determine orientation.

And, the air flow is downwards too!
