Apple Carplay for 2018 Prius PHEV

Hi all

I've just swapped my old (2005) prius for this PHEV one. It's smashing but, Apple Carplay is not available on the Infotainment system. Is there a software upgrade available?

No. The multimedia unit of that vintage isn't compatible with Apple Carplay or Android Auto.

What year did they begin to fit Apple carplay  on the plug in I have a 20 plate and it’s not on there either
