2007 Toyota alphard No indicators or gear position lights

Hi my indicators stopped working with the gear  position lights on dash.

Car eventually stopped and Battery went  flat.

I got recovered to home put on a brand new battery  now it starts but still  have the same 2 faults.

 Checked alternator charge 11.8 v.

Would this have caused the failures above .

Any help appreciated

11.8v with the engine running, that's way off sounds like that you have a bad alternator what caused your Battery to die in the first place

Don't know  had lights ,radio heater on.

As I was stopping to pick-up a friend it started to loose power and the dash was flashing all the symbols, abs, engine was like a xmas tree .

I used a power pack a couple of times to  start it but it just dying.

Recovery said alternator  so I've got one on order.

Still have hazards but  no  indicators or gear position lights on dash.

Disconnect the Battery for 10-15 min's then reconnect it, tbh not much you can do till you get the alternator done - don't drive it till it's fixed as it will pull the Battery flat with in 5 miles or so

I left it disconnected overnight but no joy  had a brand new Battery fited today still no better .

I looked on youtube and I saw something about a relay for the flashers In drivers footwell that controls charging  ?

The alternator charges the Battery, if the alternator isnt working you will run out of electricity and breakdown again

the large fuse for the alternator will be a fusible link

i will look it up for you

Alt 140A and Alt-S 5A are in the small fuse box under the bonnet

It's roughly located between the radiator and engine and looks like this

iirc the 140A is a PAL type fuse but go pull the fuse out of the car to confirm, not everywhere stock these fuses either

Toyota part No. 90982-08282

Disconnect the Battery before starting anything electrical

Edit. The fuse may be bolted in - what means you need to unbolt the fuse box and remove the lower cover to access the bolt(s)

Sorry to jump onto an old thread.  Did changing the fuses solve your issue? Having the same issue. Thanks
