When a new map database is loaded into the system does the satnav forget entered points such as HOME and previous journeys?
I have just purchase a used vehicle that was alleged to have the database updated before delivery to me but the previous owners points and journeys were still loaded in it. How do I delete all of these?

In settings, there is an option to delete user details.

Does deleting allow you to only remove certain items or does it wipe everything?

Go into settings - general - system information this will give you the map version

if you want to reset and remove all the previous owner's information from the nav you need to go into the 2nd hidden service menu

 

Access to the nav service menu.

Settings (button) - General - Volume

Press middle - top, middle - top, middle - middle, top  *as circled*

tap System commands - Set Factory Defaults

Top as in where the cogs are or another spot?
