1995 Toyota Estima Lucida soft front suspension

After years of rough roads caused by the Christchurch earthquakes the front suspension became soft and I had the front struts replaced with genuine Toyota struts. There was a small improvement but not as much as I expected. I moved out of Christchurch to a place with normal roads - however, only 3 years after the struts replacement, the front suspension has become soft (again). Very soft when coming down off a height such as a judder bar. The rebound action is harder. Is this normal? Has anyone had similar experience and/or suggest what might be a cure? or point me to an existing thread on this subject.

Thanks in advance.

What exactly did you have replaced originally?

Both front struts, plus the top strut mounts.

Has the whole front of the vehicle been inspected for wear or worn bushes/springs?
