Toyota estima 2.4 balance shaft problems

Hi just wondering if any estima owners have experienced balance shaft problem on the estima specifically the 2.4 2az-fe engine.

It seems to be a common problem also does anyone one have any more info about polymer cogs on the balance shaft and can you replace with metal ones?.

Mainly on US built cars, the balance shaft reduces vibration there is a lot of misinformation and misdiagnosis

as long as it's well serviced with decent oil and filters, it shouldn't be an issue
