Toyota proace 2015 "particle filter additive low" the heck?

Greetings fellow global citizens. So my 2015 Proace doesn't have an adblue system but i'm getting the error shown in the title. The car is showing an engine error and turbo is shutdown, meaning its in failure mode.  Maintenance is on tuesday and the ECU program is Toyotas own. I understand i don't have an active warranty anymore but isn't this a problem my car technically shouldn't even have? The hard circuits are propably there though. I refuse to pay for a maintenance i'm not even supposed to have. :D

I can’t answer your question per-se, but I know that some French cars (maybe others?) have an additive for the DPF.  Our 2007 Citroen C4 had in some sort of bag under the car somewhere and it was supposed to last years (we never had any bother from ours), maybe your Proace has a similar setup?

I’ve just googled Proace engine and it seems it has Peugeot engines so there’s a fair chance I’m barking up the right tree.

Yeah could be it. Also i learned yesterday that with automatic transmission the only way to start the DPF regeneration cycle is to drive the car manually which i've hardly ever done before. Hoping that the DPF is still intact.

The ProAce is just a rebadged PSA Peugeot / Citroen van ( PSA is now Stellantis ) 

PSA Diagbox is the best thing to diagnose one of these.

Your car does have a DPF and rather than AdBlue it uses Eolys fluid, this is what needs refilling

not 100% but it's a black box, in front of the rear axle it uses a quick disconnect, dealer will be able to do it if you let them know
