Hi

I have a 2005 Yaris 1.0 VVTI. Does anyone know the easiest way to add an iPhone connector to it so that I can play music from my iPhone. I have one of those FM transmitters but it's temperamental? I don't want to put in an ugly new head unit also?

Many Thanks

What radio does it have ?? Does it have tape or cd

for what you are going to pay for an interface, you can get a radio with USB and bluetooth, RF adapters are never great, unless you go with the inline aerial type

if you want basic and understated, something like this https://caraudiosecurity.com/bpa1119bt-mp3-bluetooth-fm-tuner-usb-sd-aux-stereo

If you have a cassette tape one, just buy a cassette tape to aux adaptor - Dead cheap, work very well.

If you don't, next options are FM Transmitter, but they can suck a bit interference-wise.

Most expensive option is a CD-changer emulator.

If you have a headunit with the 1 2 3 4 5 6 buttons, you can use something like:

or

You will also need a

It's pretty easy to fit, there is a guide here:

I had that setup in my old Mk1's - The unit pretends to be a CD-changer and you put the mp3 files in different folders named cd1-cd9 (IIRC) and select with the 1-6 buttons (Or disk up/down to get past 6) and can set to random play on one 'disc' or all 'discs'.

I think you can also plug your iPhone directly in via usb cable, or stream music to it via bluetooth, but you'll need to buy the bluetooth add-on for that (I didn't as I was just using an SDcard)

Thanks both for your help, very much appreciated. It's the CD one - I'll have a look at the CD emulator option.
