Hiace D4d startup rattle

Can anyone help please. My hiace is making the same noise as this (video for sound of noise only as different engines of course.) The noise is intermittent and not on cold start up. Sometimes it's once a day and others times once every few weeks. Toyota tested and said injectors are within tolerance so not sure what's next. I'm a window cleaner still lots of short journeys.  130000 miles Any help much appreciated thanksBob

What diesel do you have ? 2.4, 2.5 ?

The 3 diesels all use a cam belt (2L, 2LT and 2KD)

when was the cam belt and tensioner last changed ? it should be done every 3-5 years - if it lets go, the engine is junk

Hi and thanks for the reply. Its a 2. 4 and I don't think the cambelt has been done.

2LT is a turbo diesel, 2L is non turbo iirc
