Ive got a redtop ive been trying to get running for a while now, so far no luck. Ive ran through all diagnostics, its got fuel, spark and air and its in time. Only thing I can think of at this point is compression, as it tests in at 150~psi across all 4, but i thought this was normal as vvti is inactive while cranking and its designed to let some compression loose for smooth starting, but I saw a clip of a guy compression testing a redtop and he got just under 200psi, so something doesnt add up here. Does the engine intentionally dump compression under cranking for smooth starting or have I just got a huge compression problem? Also, its not a vvti solenoid issue.
