Hiace Front airbags disabling Child seat

Hello. I have a Hiace Vanv I m to use for family breaks. It only has 3 front seats. My baby is 18 months old. Is there any way I can transport my baby in the van with my partner? E.G. can I turn off the airbag on my 2006 Hiace? Or anything else you can suggest? Thank you

If it has an on/off switch for the airbag It's either in the side of the dash or in the glove box

In think because mine is a uk model there is no way to turn off the airbag. In the van handbook it does say the middle bench seat doesn’t get airbag protection. I’m wondering if it is legal to carry an 18 month old on the middle seat if facing forward, and if it is safe dove the airbags won’t turn off

i can't see why not as long as it has a 3 point belt
