Brake Fluid Hilux Surf

hi my handbrake light was staying on so i guess my brake fluid is low looking under the bonnet is it in the top left hand corner(the container for the fluid )and also do i need any special type of fluid hope you can help me

Craig the CLUTCH m/c is always the one closest to the gearbox,the BRAKE is always on the outside.

They both take the same type of brake/clutch fluid and anything labelled DOT 4 grade should be ok.

If your fluid is low it is maybe leaking,have a look around the inside of the wheels or around the brake master cylinder(the plastic container is on top) for any leakage.

Leakage usually gives the pedal a spongy feel or loses pressure when your sitting at the lights with your foot on the brake.
