Cruise control question

On my Passat the cruise control increases the speed with 10km/h each time I push it. Are all Toyota Auris models only increasing by 2mph or 1km/hr when you push it? So I need to hold it in to get to the desired speed?

The manual says if you hold it, it will constantly adjust speed.

Tapping it is only for slow increase.

I just speed up, and set it again using new speed.

As Furtula said, hold it or slighty tap to do minor adjustments. I previously had a -16 VW Up! It actually had somewhat the same function as the Toyota. Only experienced the 10km/h increase increment on a newer VW Crafter, but they also had increments of 1km/h. Kind of wish my Toyota had that as well, but I'll survive without it.

If I recall correctly, my Passat (MY2018) used 5mph increments when setting the initial cruise speed, but 1mph increments when subsequently adjusting it.

My was a 2006. Seems more common with less mph per increments on newer cars in general?
