As most of you will have seen, I'm needing a reliable engine swap for my Audi A6. Was looking at the 2ar-fxe but it might look possible due to the complexity of the Battery system powering auxiliaries. 

Therefore I'm wondering what the reliability and parts availability for the 2.4d 2L engines as fitted to the mk5 Hilux (80s-90s). 

Again any thoughts would be appreciated
