Can't connect to home router. Signal icon is strong enough and i'm putting in the right password in the right format but connection always fails. Any help would be great, thanks.

Has the router been locked down to not allow anything else to connect to it. It could be set toa high security level

Turn the router off and leave it off for a couple of minutes, restart router and try connecting your laptop or tablet with the password. If this fails try connecting another device ie mobile phone etc and see if these connect.

If these fail contact your service provider to see if any problems with network. If not they will talk you through how to reconnect. There are other methods but they can be a little hard to do if you do not have a great deal of knowledge with Tech.

Hope this helps let us know how you get on.👍

Thanks for the replies. I've already tried both your suggestions guys. Anything else connects to router no problem. Is there anything else i need to do beside turning wifi on in the multimedia settings

Kenny, I had to reconnect my system after an update.  It worked no problem.  The only suggestion I can offer it Forget the connection, search again, and try a new connection.

You might try powering the car down between forget and connect.

A further option is recycling the power on router.

Dare you try the first router again?

Actually Routers can fail with quite obscure faults.  I have had two replaced inside 6 months.  One I think dropped the LAN and the other the WiFi.

Took some time convincing the ISP but the second time, as he knew that I sounded competent it was easy.
