I was invovlved in a accident and after that when i had my car toyota tercel EL50 reapired than i started to have this temprature problem. The temprature goes to red mark just after starting for maybe 5-10secounds only. I have changed 2 engines 4 radiators temp sensor, 3 gaskets been changed, head changed engine block changed. there is no thermostat and radiator fan is also working.

Please i need assistance on what maybe be the issue.

Is it really over heating ? Engines do not boil water 5–10 seconds, why all this work without doing proper diagnostics ?? Have you checked the cooling system with an infrared thermometer ?

Radiator temp sensor as in the side of the rad ?

1.3 or 1.5, auto or manual ? There is no EL50, But there is a NL50 diesel

There are 2 temp sensors on the engine, one for the ecu and 1 for the gauge

are there any codes present

Could be the wiring going the sensors shorting out maybe trapped somewhere, like Bob says it could be a failed sensor.

it would take a lot longer than 5 to 10 seconds for the engine to overheat from cold start up maybe 5 minutes on tick over.
