Hello!

I have found a new type of radio for the Toyota IQ 1 Din, something like this:

Has anybody try it yet?

Looks a good in how it fits. I’ve installed the android/carplay type. Sticks on the dash and frankly is well worth it. Added a camera too and all for £40

I have bought it.

It seems that it is a new product. You can search in aliexpress "Toyota IQ android".

I have bought the following:

When it arrives I will post how well it works. It isn´t very expensive, but be cautious with the VAT (more than 150€ will have to pay customs in Europe).

Hello,

It arrived mid july but I haven´t had time to properly install. I attach photos of the final result.

I quite like it. I have the 4+32gb model. The steering wheel control works well. It boots really fast. The install is pretty easy. The result in my opinion is quite good. It has drawbacks. For example, it squeaks a little bit and the radio reception is worse than with the original radio. The sound quality is very good (with stock speakers).

That looks really smart. I've watched the video of fitting the actual unit and that looks straightforward but how was the wiring. I'm guessing it's simply not plug and play. Does it involve buying any adaptors or de pinning. Does look good though.

Yes! It´s plug and play (or pray :), at least, the model that I bought. There are a lot of wires, but you have to simply plug it correctly.

Yes! You are right, but I did find quite dificult to source all the parts to change from 1 DIN to 2 DIN.
