Hi Yaris owners every since I changed my driver's wing mirror about a year ago wherever the car picks up any speed the is a whistling sound from this mirror. I tried to wedge a tooth pick in the slight gap but I'm looking for a more permanent solution if anyone has any suggestions.

Yes the cover is on properly this mirror is a replacement from the scrapyard after the old one got smashed which was electric but this is a manual one from a slightly older model Yaris. I think they probably fixed the gap which causes the whistling sound on newer models but i didnt know this otherwise i would have bought the more expensive electric mirror

perhaps you could as a temp measure put some electrical tape around the gaps to see if that stops the whistle then you know its the gap thats an issue ?

Do a visual comparison with the original mirror on the other side and see if you can see anything that looks different!!
