As above. Ive got some new numberplates as the original ones are getting really scrappy now....am i right in saying that i have to unclip the whole bumber (front and back) to be able to get to the bolts and if so....is there a procedure or is it self explanatory - im assuming self tapper type screws with a combination of clips that i just pull at..?

Cheers.

Self tapping screws and caps ,use the old ones if they are ok,no need to remove the bumpers.

plates are either screwed on or stuck on with VHB foam tape (no visible fixings)

if you are unlucky they have been put on with anti-theft screws (one-way self-tapers)

Ah - no mine have got the plastic yellow bolts so im going to have to bolt something else on there....not sure i trust double sided...

I've used both - the double sided tape is great if installed correctly, as the plate will usually break first it someone tries to prise it off.   The yellow/white/black plastic bolts should unscrew with care, the back nut will just drop out.

yep - hence the question on how to remove the bumpers....i was going to use some stainless nuts and bolts with the nylon so they dont loosen...

they may just be on large J Clips instead of nuts, some of the bolt heads are actually self-tapping screws

just had quick look on fleabay, oem has 2 threaded posts moulded into the bumper or it uses J clips in the opening(s) behind the plate

stainless Rivnuts FTW

Or just lift them up or down 10mm and self tap them!
