ok i was talking to my honda owner friend yesterday..i tell him i got a 96 corolla then he asks how many miles..

i say like 131000..then he says if the timing belt has been replaced..he said on a honda it needed to be checked

around every 90000 miles...so i am thinking first of all does my car have a timing belt? and second at what miles

does it need to be changed? thanks

First off you need to check if you have a rubber driven belt or a chain belt.

I would imagine you have a rubber belt. You need to check your manual but I think it is every 60k

I may be wrong there so please wait for a few more answers first

60k sounds about right but would chaeck the manual or call Toyota to find out when the intervals for the monster service, as I believe the cambelt is changed in the big big one....
