Replacing Original Tape Player

i just bought a corolla gs, x reg. and decided to change the factory fitted tape player for a kenwood head and cd changer. I have now been told this cant be fitted, nor can i find a facia plate. can anybody help ?

hi wizz, probably old hat to anyone who knows..but I've got this lite ace with a u/s radio and I/ve ripped it out and found that I need a socket/plug unit to adapt it to fit my kenwood unit........ any ideas?

It seems as though the corolla 00-02 is a small minority :(

So how did ya fit it Whizz? You prob cant make use of the pods button at the top for tape/cd select i'm guessing?
