Rain Guard Problems

Please help me if you can.

I removed rain guards from around the top edge of each door on my RAV4, fitted by the previous owner. This has left behind the remains of double sided sticky strips that I can't shift with anything.

I've tried soaking in soapy water, white spirit and thinners, but nothing will unglue the remains of the sticky strips.

Can anyone suggest something to try?

Thanks

Terry

Use one of the Orange oil based solvents or even good ol WD40 to remove the remnants of the tape.

Soak it well, and use a plastic scraper to work the tape loose. Another product that works great for sticky stuff is called GOOF-OFF. Available in the hardware section of most stores or in the paint dept of home improvement stores.

There's Gum-Off as well!

also couldn't he just try to heat the strip! ie. Hairdryer as a heat source!
