How To Prolong Life Of Toyota

I have been thinking of ways to prolong the life of your toyota's. I have a carina, and can say the following

1. CHANGE OIL FREQUENTLY (3-5K MILES)

2. USE HIGH GRADE OIL

3. CLEAN CAR FREQUENTLY; ALWAYS WAX AFTERWARDS (AT LEAST 2-3 X per year)

4. HAVE CAR SERVICED PROPERLY

5. CHANGE AIR FILTER AND FUEL FILTER REGULARLY

6. NEVER THRASH THE ENGINE FROM COLD

7. USE HIGH REV'S E.G. 4000RPM ONCE A WEEK WHEN WARM

8. DO NOT STRAIN THE ENGINE.

Has anyone got any other good ideas to prolong life?

Mine's screwed then coz it sits @ 4000rpm for most of the 25 mile drive to work each day... :D

It gets washed loads tho... :P

As with any car. treat it nice and it will give you a long life.

Toyota are even better. I had a AE92 Gti-16v and as long as i was warm i caned it around all the time. Engine was always fine because of me looking after the oil and service side of things. It was the clutch's, gearboxes, brakes and other stuff that kept on going.

If you trash it, it will cost you more.
