Go faster Corolla!

Hello there!

I have an '88 corolla 1.3gl saloon and I love it to bits. It was a real suprise trading up to it from a 1.1 205, but 6-months on I want even more power! Could anyone tell me what they think the most worthwhile upgrades would be. I have very little money but a fair bit of time, and a bit of knowledge (dad), some tools and a haynes! There's loads of stuff for 4A-GEs and I'd like to know how much would be compatible with my engine (2E?).

basic mods that would impriver your high end would include intake, exchaust(not ricey civic muffler) i mean whole exchaust and header, hmmmm pulleys, maybe port and polish but that goes for about $400

apexi fuel managment system, better wires, Blaster2 ignition coil, MSD 6a module, cold air intake!

next stage would be NO2 or turbo/super charger
